    2. Ernest Peacey Watkins, 84, of Moncks Corner, SC, retired owner and operator of Watkins Package Shop and former manager and owner of Green's Grocery Store, died Tuesday morning at his residence. The funeral will be 11:00 AM Thursday morning, Feb. 22, 2007, in the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Wednesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church Building Fund, 200 N. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461, or to Odyssey Health Care of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Ave., Ste. 109, N. Charleston, SC 29405. Mr. Watkins was born March 13, 1922, in Latta, SC, a son of Walter Frank Watkins and Elizabeth Thomas Watkins. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Minneapolis in the South Pacific during W.W. II. He was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the Berkeley County Historical Society. He and his wife Leone were former volunteers at the Berkeley Museum. Surviving are, two sons, Dickie Watkins and his wife, Helen, of Greeleyville and Walter Watkins and his wife, Lynn, of Moncks Corner; five grandchildren, Travis Watkins, Hunter Watkins, Nona Watkins, Nichole Adkins, and Jessica Watkins; and two great grandchildren, Megan Watkins and Emily Adkins.
