STONE, Jim - Age 72, of Flint, died January 18, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Flint. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM Monday at the funeral home. Jim was born on January 9, 1935 in Dillon, SC to Zingle Lee and Amanda (Nettles) Stone. He was a graduate of Dillon High School with a perfect attendance record and earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Mott Community College in Flint. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe and retired from Buick Motor Division of General Motors, after 33 years as Office Manager. Jim is survived by: sister, Mrs. Ed (Mildred) Howell of Folly Beach, SC; several nieces and nephews; and many friends of Flint including good friends, Kathy and John Reid, Chris Johnroe, Mike Milam Gaylord and Jim's Cats. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Mrs. C.D. (Mezelle) Ellis of Moultrie, GA and Mrs. Henry (Pauline) Seat of Dillon, SC; brothers, Albert, Earl, Ervin, Oda, Raymond and Roy Stone, all of Dillon, SC.
