*Up to now there have been two separate indexes to the available transcribed obituaries. One of early obituaries on the Library's web page and one on Helen's Little Corner. I have combined the index on the Dillon County's web page with the **Index of Selected Obituary Transcriptions <http://bellsouthpwp.net/m/o/moodiwmn/mom/SelectedObits.htm> ** Hopefully this will be an easier approach to obtaining an email with the requested obituary. The index will remain on the Library's page and the combined index will be added to periodically. The index is in alphabetical order and can be scrolled for search or you can do a "control f" for a specific name or date. Remember the date given is the date of the issue of the paper not the date of death. There are several obituaries transcribed from The State, Columbia, SC and other newspapers. Many of these will also be found in the Dillon Herald, possibly with more information. A few of the transcriptions are obituaries for surrounding counties. There is no fee for these transcriptions, however a donation to further our project is always appreciated. If you have an interest in descendants of Moodys from the Buck Swamp area of Marion/Dillon County, particularly the two brothers, Robert and Charles, please contact me for further information. * <http://bellsouthpwp.net/m/o/moodiwmn/mom/SelectedObits.htm> -- Helen B.
