Bernice Price Johnson, 63, died Monday, February 26, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday in Union Baptist Church with burial in Price Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Born in Dillon County, SC, April 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Henry Price and Ansel Walker Price. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, and was a retired bookkeeper. Survivors include her daughters, Pam (Eddie) Hayes, Kay (Johnny) Martin, and Denise Moore all of Latta; grandchildren, Ed Hayes, J.J. Martin, Lyle Hayes, Mikey Moore, and Chelsea Martin all of Latta; ex-husband, Deans Johnson of Latta; brothers, Jeff Price and Bruce Price both of Little Rock, Allen Price of Fork, and Marvin Price of Dillon; sisters, Dorothy Beaver of Hartsville, Henrietta Herrman of Charleston, and Miriam Allen of Bladenboro, NC. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her brothers, H. Price and Frank Price; and a sister, Mae Boatwright.
