Vera G. Herring (May 17, 1915 - January 13, 2005) DILLON Vera G. Herring, 89, died Thursday, January 13, 2005, in Sunny Acres Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born in Dillon County, May 17, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Ron Gough and Maggie Bryant Gough. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church, and the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class. Survivor include her son, Gordon S. Herring (Barbara) of Decator, AL; daughters, Patsy H. Allen (Billy) of Dillon and Ann H. Hayes (Ben) of Pamplico, SC; brothers, Roy Gough of Dillon, John Gough of Lima, Ohio; sisters, Ruth Burgess of Hampton, VA, Beatrice (Hardy) Huggins of Little Rock, SC, Oviedo Gibbs of Dillon; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews submitted by Helen Lane Wiggins
