    3. Lois A. Rogers FAIRMONT - Mrs. Lois Ayres Rogers, 91, of Fairmont, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, after an illness. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Lake View, S.C. Burial will be in the Olivet Cemetery in Marietta, directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at the funeral home. Mrs. Rogers was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Elias Tyler and Katherine McArthur Ayres. She was a member of Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Lake View and served as a former Sunday school teacher, church deacon and was a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Dillon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Marietta Book Lovers Club and the Young at Hearts of Robeson County. Surviving are one son, Edwin D. Rogers Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Moncks Corner, S.C.; two daughters, Katherine Rogers Deas and husband, Dave, of Gastonia, and Margaret Ayres Rogers of the home; one sister, Sybil Ayres Thompson of Spruce Pine; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin D. Rogers; and four sisters, Margaret A. Butler, Kathryn A. Perdue, Francis A. Campbell and Helen A. Stewart. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bear Swamp Baptist Church, P.O. Box 703, Lake View, SC 29563. Arrangements are being handled by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View submitted by Helen Lane Wiggins
