    3. LAKE VIEW -Julian E. Hayes, 66, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at his home after an illness. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hayestown Cemetery, Lake View, directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. Mr. Hayes was born in Dillon County, the son of the late Chester E. and Annie B. Church Hayes. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was a member of Blue Lodge No. 142 A.F.M. of Gaddy Mill. He was a retired farmer. He was the maintenance supervisor for the Lake View School District for 10 years and was employed by Selma Hosiery for 10 years. Surviving are sons, Johnny E. Hayes of Lake View, Julian Ray Hayes of Cheraw, Mitchell E. Hayes of Mullins and Richard A. Hayes of Lake View; daughters, Debbie R. Hayes of Lake View, Pamela S. Lane of Dillon and Kathy R. Hayes of Myrtle Beach; sisters, Jeanette Millen and Lynette Floyd; brothers, Bobby Gene Hayes and Howward D. Hayes; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his wife, Edna R. Rogers Hayes; his son, James (Jamie) Wesley Hayes; his brother, Richard Hayes; and granddaughter, Rendi Lynn Rogers. submitted by Helen Lane Wiggins
