FLORENCE -LATTA-Pearl Richbourg Pierce, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, in a Florence hospital after an illness. She was the widow of Robert Emmette Pierce Sr. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in Immanuel Baptist Church, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at the funeral home. Mrs. Pierce was born in Davis Station, a daughter of the late Basil E. and Annie Lee Brunson Richbourg. She was a graduate of Florence High School and formerly employed at Sears as a customer service representative. Mrs. Pierce was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church for more than 57 years. There she was a member and past teacher of the Effie Flowers Sunday School Class and was a member of the WMU. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are a daughter, Maurice P. (Larry) Fore of Latta; two sons, Robert Emmette (Willene) Pierce Jr. of Mt. Pleasant and Albert Richard (Gail S.) Pierce of Florence; a brother, Dewey M. Richbourg of Florence; six grandchildren, Rev. Robert E. Pierce III, Kimberly Pierce Carter, Larry B. Fore Jr., Elizabeth Fore, Rick Pierce and Angela Pierce; and four great-grandchildren.
