William Harrison King (January 2, 1916 - January 8, 2005) DILLON Graveside services for William Harrison "Babe" King will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home. Mr. King, 89, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 in Sunny Acres Nursing Home. Born in Fork, SC, January 2, 1916, he was the son of the late Harrison King and Elizabeth Brogdon King. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, was a U.S. Merchant Marine Veteran of World War II, and was a volunteer fireman for 31 years for the City of Dillon Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Mattie Lee King of Dillon; sons, William Michael (Christine) King of Lamar and Stephen Kendall (Janice) King of Mullins; grandchildren, Kimberly Bean, Stephanie Bragdon, Jessica King and Kelly King; great-granddaughter, Kearson Bean.
