Haywood Lee Proctor, Sr., 86, died Thursday, July 20, 2006, in McLeod Medical Center-Dillon. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday in Hamer Church of God with burial in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Born in Marion County, July 7, 1920, he was the son of the late Willie Proctor and Claudie Turbeville Proctor. He was a member of Hamer Church of God, and was a retired Supervisor. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Proctor of Dillon; daughters, Linda Weatherford of Little Rock, Ann (Ronnie) Hodges of Cheraw, and Shirley (Truman) Hare of Dillon; son, Haywood (Caryn) Proctor, Jr. of Hamer; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; devoted & constant friend, Bill Lee of Hamer. Mr. Proctor was preceded in death by his first wife, Arnetha McKenzie Proctor; brothers, Manning Proctor and French Proctor. Memorials may be made to Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O.
