SUMMERVILLE Graveside services for Roland Herring will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Riverside Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Herring, 67, died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at his residence. Born in Dillon County, SC, October 26, 1939, he was the son of the late Derrick M. Herring and Carrie Purvis Herring. He was retired from The Marriott Hotel in Charleston as a Chef, and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his brothers, Kelly Herring of Dillon, and Linwood Herring of Columbus, GA; sister, Delphia Herring of Winchester, VA; many nieces and nephews.
