Gerald Lane (September 21, 1934 - March 24, 2005) DILLON Gerald Lane, 70, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at his residence after an illness. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday evening in the funeral home. Born in Dillon County, September 21, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert Lane and Bessie George Lane. He was the retired owner of L&H Convenience Store, and was of the Holiness faith. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Geneva Coward Lane of Dillon; daughters, Peggy Lane (Tommy) Hively of Pelion, SC, Jeannine Hughes (Marvin) Nates of Elgin, SC; son, James Wayne (Becky) Williams of Dillon; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Bill Lane of West Cola, SC; sisters, Margaret Coles of Cola, SC, Betty Lane (Frank) Pate of Myrtle Beach, and Dorothy Lane (Derwood) Hulon of Dillon.
