Myers, Myrtis Griggs Myers FLORENCE-DILLON-Myrtis Margaret Griggs Myers, 85, of 1816 Fairfield Circle, Florence, died Wednesday morning, March 23, 2005, in a Florence hospital after an illness. She was born in Darlington, a daughter of the late Barney and Maggie Gainey Griggs. She was a member of the Palmetto Street Church of God. She was formerly employed by DoNut Dinette, the Boston Caf, Roneys Caf and McCains Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Nat Myers, who died Nov. 17, 1988. Surviving are a son, Jimmy Myers of Florence; a daughter, Mary Sue Campbell of Dillon; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1740 Broadway, New York, NY 10019. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Burial will follow, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
