Miller, Evelyn LAKE VIEW -MARION-Mrs. Evelyn C. Miller, 85, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at McLeod Medical Center of Dillon after an illness. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Rone and Laler Scott Church. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View. Surviving are three sons, Charles Jerone (Linda) Miller of New Boston, Texas, Wade Lane (Elizabeth) Miller of Fork and Wendell (Edna) Miller of Lake View; a daughter, Brenda Miller Dail of Goldsboro, N.C.; two sisters, Mattie Rogers and Nettie Scott; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Miller; four sisters, Omeada Shelley, Eva Hayes, Retha Lane and Elizabeth Owens; and two brothers, Woodrow Church and Rupert Church. submitted by Helen Lane Wiggins
