Wendy Danielle Rogers and Timothy Daniel De Block, both of Columbia, were married March 31, 2007 at Chapin Baptist Church in Chapin. Pastor Dan De Block, father of the groom, performed the 4 p.m. ceremony assisted by Dr. Don Brock. A reception followed. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Townsend Rogers Jr. of Columbia, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Strawder Lawrence Gaines of Charleston and Mrs. Ethel McLaurin Rogers and the late Lt. Col. Daniel Townsend Rogers Sr., both of Dillon. She is a graduate of Airport High School and is presently employed by McAngus, Goudelock & Courie LLC of Columbia. The groom, son of Chaplain (Major) Daniel G. De Block and Ms. Mary J. Driscoll of Minnesota, is the grandson of Mr. Dean Driscoll of Arizona, the late Mrs. Beverly Grover Driscoll of Minnesota and Mrs. Audrey Stenvall De Block and the late Rev. Daniel De Block Jr., both of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is a graduate of Richland Northeast High School. Matrons of honor were Lori Cavin and Julianne McRoy, sisters of the bride. Attendants were Jennifer Bagnal, Valerie Co and Heather White, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Hannah Elizabeth Cavin, niece of the bride. Best man was David De Block, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Matt Polski, groom’s cousin, Darrell Hudson, Zeke Santa Cruz and Adam Woodruff, friends of the groom. Honorary groomsman was Jeff Polski, cousin of the groom who is serving our nation in Iraq. Ushers were Jeff Beaman and Cameron Gaines, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Jacob Andrew Cavin, nephew of the bride.
