DILLON — Services for Floyd Arnette will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Arnette, 80, died Monday, Dec. 18, at his residence after an illness. Born June 12, 1926, in Dillon County, he was the son of the late Carlie Arnette and Pearlie B. Arnette. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Pepsi-Cola after 35 years of service. He was the widower of Vera Mae Suggs Arnette. Survivors include his daughters, Phyllis (Joe) Price and Ginger (Billy Ray) Berry of Dillon; son, Wayne (Angie) Arnette of Dillon; grandson, Wakeley Clark of Dillon; brothers, Clarence, Gentry, Clyde, Eddie, Alton and Monroe Arnette, all of Dillon; sisters, Beatrice McKenzie and Esther Thomas, both of Dillon, and Rosa Mae Stone of Rowland, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Arnette was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie Clark; and his brother, Albert Arnette. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 405 Mt. Calvary Road, Dillon, SC 29536.
