Edwina Black Francese, 85, of Lake View, SC, formerly of Charleston and the wife of Gaetano J. Francese, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 28, 2006. Mrs. Francese was born in Millett, SC, the daughter of Edward J. Black and Carrie Dunbar Black, on Friday, July 1, 1921. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where she served in many varying capacities throughout the years. Mrs. Francese was a graduate of Allendale High School and attended Rice Business College in Charleston. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gaetano J. Francese; a daughter, Carolyn Lupo and her husband Paul; two grandsons, John Paul Lupo, Kenneth Lupo; one sister, June B. Furman; two sister-in-laws, Margaret Black, Vinzenca Francese and many nieces and nephews. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Edwina Black Francese are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2006 at John Wesley United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. The burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
