Services for Joseph S. "Stump" Hunt will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in Pee Dee Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Hunt, 74, died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at his residence. Born in Okeechobee, Florida, July 1, 1932, he was the son of the late John Wesley Hunt and Blanche Mae Quick Hunt. He was a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church, and was a retired Plumber. He was the widower of the late Flonnie Mae Hunt. Survivors include his children, Bobby L. Hunt of Dillon, Maggie Roberts of Florence, Billy L. Hunt of Hamer, Eddie Hunt of Latta, Michael Hunt, and JoJo Hunt, both of Dillon; sisters, Dorothy Turbeville of Hamer, and Mary Jane Goings of Clio, SC; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his daughter, Polly Ann Hunt, brothers, Jack, Esaw, Pete, and Layton Hunt; sister, Josephine Locklear; and 3 grandchildren.
