DILLON — Emma Oviedo Gibbs, 95, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at the Pines Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Born in Dillon County, June 23, 1911, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Gough and Maggie Bryant Gough. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Edward (Gina) Bryan Gibbs of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Edward Bryan Gibbs Jr., Eugene Gibbs, Christopher Gibbs, Stephen Gibbs and Patrick Gibbs; step-grandchildren, Sara Hickey, Andrew Hill, AnnaMay Gibbs, Ronald Gibbs and Raymond Gibbs; sisters, Beatrice G. Huggins of the Bethea Home and Ruth G. Burgess of Hampton, Va.; brother, John C. Gough of Lima, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
