    3. Greetings all, and for this post, especially PACE descendants-- As you may know, most all Pace's that trace their roots to old upper Marion county/today's Dillon county and surrounding Pee Dee area hail from George Pace. However, the trail went cold with George and little was seen that linked him to other Paces. Recent evidence has come to light as to the George Pace line and his ancestors all the way to Jamestown (1607 time-frame). It would be interesting hear from Pace cousins and any research they might have uncovered? Additionally, there is a Pace DNA project that can allow a representative of the George Pace line to compare and map our specific line to others and the original Paces in Colonies/USA and back. This kind of tool can be key especially as little paper evidence exists. Has any male Pace from Pee Dee area looked into this? I can't do it because my gr-grandmother was a Pace, born to William James Pace. Only works for paternal male line. Happy 4th of July! Dthompson
