    1. Re: [SCDILLON] Death certificates
    2. The Naomi I am looking for is the one in the 1910 census record. When I found that record, I asked around the family to see if anyone knew who she was (asking the children of Junius and Nannie Williams). No one had ever heard my grandfather (listed as Eugene Williams) talk about a baby sister who died. I can't find a grave marker for a child that age. I know where Eugene's family lived in 1920 and 1930 and she is not listed and not in a cemetery near any of those places ( if you drew a triangle that included Latta, Clio and Fayetteville, they would be somewhere in that triangle all the time). I checked the cemetery in Fayetteville where Junius and Nannie are buried and she is not there either. I checked the McLucas cemetery in Clio. I checked the Dothan cemetery where so many of the Betheas are buried. My mother and I call these "space aliens," those people that just appear and then vanish into thin air.

    2. Are death certificates for Dillon County online? I am specifically looking for Naomi Williams, born about Feb 1910 and died before 1920. She was apparently my grandfather's sister, but no one in the family has heard anything about her. So, I am curious if she was actually his sister or was another child's child.

    2. Peggy, no charge for those transcribed by email. For those not transcribed and just in the extracts that are listed on "Helen's Little Corner" and I have to go back and look up, copy and mail we are asking a small donation. Which will be spent of supplies or books for the genealogy section. The library is county funded and it is like pulling hens teeth to get any money out of them so this is my little contribution. There is an index on my web page that I have transcribed and will send by email. Use the search feature.
