Mrs. W. G. Isgett Mrs. Stella Isgett, 80, died at High Point Memorial Hospital at 9 p.m. yesterday. She had been ill seven weeks and in critical condition for the past week. Mrs. Isgett was the widow of W. G. Isgett of Winston-Salem. They were married Jul 25, 1893, and lived in Winston-Salem 35 years. He died in 1935. Mrs. Isgett was born in Rowland, June 7, 1875, the daughter of Henry and Carolina Miller Wiggins. She is survived by three sons, Robert C., Charles R. and Jesse S. Isgett of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Mrs. May Bell Smith of Salisbury; a sister, Mrs. Callie Harrelson of Dillon, S. C.; 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Isgett Funeral services for William Gurney Isgett, 67, who passed away Wednesday at the home on South Claremont avenue, will be held this morning at 8 o'clock at Waughtown Presbyterian Church. Rev. William G. Isgett Called by Death William Gurney Isgett, 67, of South Claremont avenue, passed away last night at 7:55 o'clock at a local hospital. He had been ill for the past week and his condition had been critical for two days. He was born at Darlington, S. C., January 9, 1868, and came to this city from Florence, S. C., fifteen years ago. He was connected with R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for a few years and for the past ten years was engaged in the grocery business. He was a member of Waughtown Presbyterian Church and the Men's Bible Class of the church. He was also a member of the Southside Council Jr. O. U. A. M. Surviving are the widow, who was Miss Stella Wiggins prior to marriage; four sons, William H. Isgett, of Clemmons, Route 1; Robert C. , Charles R. and Jesse S. Isgett, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Mabelle Smith, of this city; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Blackmon, of this city, and fifteen grandchildren. No arrangements have been made for the funeral. Trying to find more information on Lizzie Butler that married Hugh Gee Barentine. Lizzie was a daughter of William Riley Butler Sr. and Indiana Rogers. They were all from the Marion/Dillon area. MARION — Mr. Morris Solomon Blum, 86, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Marion County Medical Center after an extended illness. A Graveside Service will be conducted by Rev. Daniel Inabinet at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 17 in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service at the home, 901 Cherokee Avenue in Marion. Mr. Blum was born in Dillon County, a son of the late Isadore Blum and Belle Shafer Blum. He is also predeceased by a son, Allan P. Blum. Mr. Blum was a graduate of Dillon High School and The Citadel. Mr. Blum was a retired businessman. He owned and operated MiLadys Shoppe, Inc. in Marion and Florence for fifty years. He built Francis Marion Plaza in 1973 and later Francis Marion Mini-Storage. Mr. Blum served the U.S. Army as a 1st Lt. during World War II. He retired from the South Carolina National Guard after 27 years of service as Lt. Colonel. Mr. Blum was 32nd degree Mason. He belonged to Cypress River Club for over fifty years. Mr. Blum was an avid USC Gamecock fan. He attended most home football games for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and never met a stranger. Mr. Blum is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Porter Blum of the home; a son, Richard M. Blum (Theresa) of Pleasant View; daughters, Diane B. Bean (Bill) of Spartanburg, Cindy B. Rogers (Robin) of Marion; daughter-in-law Kathy W.
