    3. Tyner, James Monroe MYRTLE BEACH -DILLON-James Monroe Tyner, age 80, of Tyner St., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born June 4, 1924 in Dillon, he was the son of the late Thomas D. and Eva Mae Baxley Tyner. Mr. Tyner was a World War II veteran of the US Navy and the US Army. He was a retired engineer from the US Civil Service and a member of Socastee Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Madge Mills Tyner; sons, James M. Tyner, Jr. and wife, Jane, of Charleston and Gary Timothy Tyner and wife, Cynthia, of Surfside Beach; daughters, Evan Ann Tyner of Socastee, Nan T. Hill and husband, Gerald, of Orange City, Fla., Terry Watts and husband, Michael, of Socastee and Tabitha Brown and husband, Mark, of Murrells Inlet; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and sisters, Alice Bennett of Socastee and Dorothy Hodge Parker of Lumberton, N.C.     3. Evans, Dorothy PAMPLICO -DILLON-Dorothy Mae Ward Evans, 65, of 1338 Kennedy Haines Road, Pamplico, died early Thursday morning, Feb. 24, 2005, at her residence after an illness. Mrs. Evans was born in Dillon, a daughter of the late George Thomas Ward and the late Agnes Herring Ward Bass. She was a longtime employee of the Gangplank Seafood Restaurant in Florence. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Franklin Thomas Ward of Dillon. Surviving are two children, Steve (Lisa) Evans and Cynthia Evans, both of Pamplico; a sister, Patricia (Chip) Hyatt of Dillon; five brothers, Robert Davis Ward of Pamplico, George Howard (Midge) Ward and Marion Joseph Bass, both of Dillon, Leroy (Carol) Ward of Wilson, N.C., and Billy Gene Bass of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Brock Isaih Cook, Sheena Ray Evans, Logan Bradford Evans and Jessica Dawn Evans, all of Pamplico; and a great-grandchild, Baby Caleb expected in June. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Hinson, age 75, passed away February 22, 2005, at his home. Born in Dillon County, December 31, 1929, he was the son of the late Roland and Mamie Allen Hinson. He served in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dillon. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Joyce Fore Hinson of Dillon; sons, Frank (Terrie) of Myrtle Beach and Robbie (Beth) Hinson of Dillon; twin daughters, Linda (Michael) Leonhardt of Georgetown and Glenda (Robert) Schleich of Dillon; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
