Hello folks, I am new to this list and am not sure that I am in the right county. I am seeking information regarding my father-in-law, Wyman Ulmer CREEL. He was born Aug.7, 1892 in ?Branchville? SC. He was inducted into the Army at Cottageville, SC. and served during WW1. He was next found in Sibley County, Iowa where he married Hildegarde Wassmann in Ocheyedan, Iowa.(in 1928) He died in Ocheyedan in January, 1937. . Can anyone tell me how I might get a birth certificate for this man? While the Creel name is not uncommon, the given name surely is rare. A death notice was sent to Wyman's father, whose given name is believed to have been John, and Wyman's only surviving child remembers that it was sent to Branchville and that there was a response.
