    3. Hi everybody, I checked the stats today and SCCOLLET has 47 subscribers and SCDORCHE has 26. If I did it right, I added the list name to the subject so these emails will be easier to identify. I scanned an article for the Dorchester Anerican Local History page. Although it is written from a historical perspective, it does list (on the second web page) the early residents of Dorchester - some from Massachusetts and some who were believed to be in the area before the Congregationalists arrived. The Town of Dorchester, In South Carolina - A Sketch of Its History This article by Henry A. M. Smith first appeared in the South Carolina Historical and Genealogical Magazine, Vol VI - No 2, April 1905, p. 62 - 95. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/1968/dorchester/dorc-town.html I've also included supplemental information I found in other issues. My next project is an article on Jacksonboro. Jane Hurd [email protected] _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
