Hi, First post to this list. I have some info on these families, but would like more! Can anyone tell me what kinds of records exist for Colleton Co? And does anyone have access to them? Can anyone tell me (or refer me to a site) about the early (1600s and 1700s) history of Edisto Island? Is Wadmalaw Island in Colleton? Was there a close relationship between Edisto and Santee? I have yet to find any of my ancestors on immigrant ship lists tho I am sure many of them (particularly the Santee bunch) were Huguenot refugees. Was Edisto a Huguenot settlement as well? Can anyone connect to these names? I'd be happy to fill in what details I do have if anyone can link... thanks! Cyndi in Baltimore
