Since we are on Methodist History, I have a question. I understand the Lumbee Indian Tribe most always were Methodist. I have found also that 80% of my Bass/Jackson family are Methodist. Many in my Bass family established Methodist Churches in Georgia. The main question is, was there a Lumbee Tribe in Colleton Co.? Or were they from around York Co? I hope my question is not to far out in left field. It seems all of this came together for me at one time.
