Hello All, Archie T. HARBESON (1877-?) is my gg-uncle and son of Henry Bedon HARBESON (1852-1919) and Laura MURRAY (1858-1930). Everything I've seen so far has Isabelle HUTTO listed as his wife. Can anyone explain this connection for me? My source for the following information is my mother: The union between Archie T. and Isabell may be incorrect or Isabelle was his first wife and died very young. Mother does not recall her, however, she recalls another wife in great detail. She said Archie T. was married to Bell Johnson, who grew up between Norway and Denmark in Bamberg Co. They lived in Dorchester Co. near Indian Field after the marriage. Archie T. and Bell had four daughters. I haven't discovered the names of all the girls, but Mother claims Bertha and Pansy were the children of Bell JOHNSON, not Isabelle HUTTO. There's been a question of which MIZELL Bertha married. Mother said it was Dan MIZELL. There is a Bertha HARBESON (1901-?) and a Dan Henry MIZELL (1896-1974) buried at Indian Field. They had at least two children and their names were Fannie Mae and Herman. As for the mystery of what happened to Archie T., he became ill and died while visiting one of his daughters in another state and was buried there. Mother doesn't recall the state, but she said it was very far from SC. I would greatly appreciate any comments from other researchers interested in these families.
