According to Colleton Co. Census Records, Thomas was an overseer; he and Mehala had 6 children. (Their first child, Ann Rebecca, was my grandmother). I'm not sure of Mehala's maiden name, except through family information passed down, which may or may not be correct. I have no Bible Records, wills, deeds or anything to prove her name.
