SC Queries Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Colleton?read=908 Surname: WILLIAMS, SHERIDAN, LISTON, HAMILTON ------------------------- hi,thanks a million for all that info.i have james williams born c.1750 in north carolina and died after 1830 in colleton dist sc.the 3 sons i have are henry m williams(mar 20 1782-nov 28 1846)married barbara (c.1786-sept 6 1852),abraham taylor williams(c.1786-dec 30 1843)married 1809 harriett risher(c.1787-jan 12 1844),james allen williams(aug 19 1788-july 25 1852)married ann (jan 31 1795-mar 1 1859) my understanding is that joel spell sr died sept 17 1813 in colleton dist sc.he was married 3 times.1st catherine dewitt 2nd mary irons hughes,3rd catherine spears.catherine then married andrew liston and had one son-james n.liston(mar 18 1819-apr 28 1849)who married barbara eleanor spell( 1815-dec 24 1865)a daughter of eldred spell and keziah butcher. paul walter spell( 1814-mar 8 1857)was a son of eldred and keziah also.paul died at tom raysors old place on hwy 61 near green pond meth church.paul married 1st jane henrietta elvira sheridan.he married 2nd amanda sleigh. my line from henry m.williams is from his son alfred w.williams(sept 3 1809-may 1857)who married elizabeth g.muckenfuss(oct 5 1818-june 2 1870).they had a daughter martha ann williams(apr 2 1841-feb 28 1882)who married may 27 1858 to eldred benjamin spell(mar 9 1833-july 6 1889)(son of john b.spell and sarah l. )they had a daughter sarah elizabeth spell(aug 13 1863-mar 31 1937)who married may 20 1886 lewis kirkland utsey(jan 9 1841-nov 14 1912)they had a daughter martha ann utsey(apr 2 1887-may 10 1977)who married edward franklin wilson(june 17 1856-feb 28 1931)these were my g-grandparents.my mother was born near green pond church.my fathers people are from quebec.tell me more about your lineage.
