I am interested in infromation on Mary Ann BOATWRIGHT, daughter of John Chesley Daniel BOATWRIGHT who married Joseph CARTER. I am trying to locate the parents of my great grandfather David Adam CARTER. His parents are supposed to be Joseph B. CARTER and Mary BOATWRIGHT/BOATRIGHT of SC. David Adam CARTER was born 25 DEC 1852 in SC and d. 30 SEPT 1939 in Brantley County, GA. Oral family history has it that he and his brother Wiley CARTER traveled from SC to Appling County, GA with an Uncle Levi UNKNOWN. They traveled by oxencart, walking for awhile and then riding in the cart when they could. David Adam CARTER married Sarah Susannah RENTZ in Appling County, GA and they had 12 or 13 children, 9 of whom survived to adulthood. Any infromation would be appreciated. Sandra Hames
