I am trying to find the parents of ELIZABETH DOW (1782-aft1830) who married c1802 SAMUEL MIDDLETON (c1778 -1855) in Barnwell County SC. SAMUEL was the son of COL. CHARLES STARKEY MIDDLETON of Colleton County SC. I wonder if ELIZABETH DOW was a daughter of a JOHN DOW. She and SAMUEL had known children of IRENE MIDDLETON, my grandmother who marri JAMES HILLIARD in GA, SUSAN MIDDLETON married JOSHUA SPENCE, LORENZO DOW MIDDLETON, and STEPHEN S. MIDDLETON who moved to Appling CO GA. I see records involving SAMUEL and ELIZABETH with STEPHEN SYLVESTER MIDDLETON> Could he be a brother? Any help would be so appreciated. Luanne Spence Taylor
