They all state Bartholemew Parish. In the 1860 & 1870 records I find the following children: (01) Eliza, (02) Charles (03) Alice, (04) Margaret, (05) Samuel, (06) Samuel, (07) Julia, (08) Julia, (09) Anna & (10) Hester. In the 1880 census Caroline is shown as a widow. Apparently Andrew died in the 1870's. I was in Walterboro today and found the following in the microfilm files of the town newspaper. It referenced the death of a Mrs. Laura Henrietta Tucker. The article goes on to state that she was the daughter of A.J. & Caroline Lowry Smoak. So there appears that possibly there is one more sister. Laura Henrietta is my tie to the Smoak lineage.
