The mailing list is sponsored by Rootsweb, but the web site is on geocities and is a SCGenWeb site. Although many people think Rootsweb and the USGenWeb Project are the same, they are not. Rootsweb and the USGenWeb Project/SCGenWeb both have policies about violation of copyright laws.
