Is there any proof that Jacob had these other children?...Sarah, Renvy, J. J...?? Does anyone know who their mother may have been? A Sarah is listed in the 1850 census as living with Ann D. Whetsell (2 years after Jacob's death), but Laura Emma was not. However, Laura Emma who married W. P. Dowling was the same age. Are they the same person? Is there some reason that someone would leave half of their children out of their will? His will only names: Ann D., his wife, then Joel Martin, John William, Harriet Ann Elizabeth, and Laura Emma, in that order. His wife along with Isaac M. Johnston and Elijah Brownlee are executors. Witnesses are Daniel Hutto, Thomas Peters, and Thomas J. Knight. Thanks for any ideas, Carolyn
