GOD BLESS AMERICA! Trying to find ancestors & descendents of the Langdale family located in Colleton Co, SC, during the 1800's... My great grandfather, John William Harris, born 1855 in that area...his mother is Elizabeth Langdale, daughter of John Langdale & Jane Guthrie...John William Harris migrated to Sumter Co, FL by the time of the 1880 census... I suspect that William Harris & Celia Roberts Harris are the grandparents of my John William Harris...William & Celia Harris are on the 1850 census for Colleton Co, SC...and then on the 1870 census for Polk Co, FL... Thank you!!!
Hi, List, You may have received an e-mail message to the list that appears to have come from me....I just received it, too. It is going to people who are not even subscribed, with my name as the sender. Rest assured that it is *not* originating with my computers, which are virus free. To my knowledge, RootsWeb still does an excellent job of filtering virus and spam messages. Unfortunately, the latest viruses are harvesting e-mail addresses from web sites, and since I host about 30 history, genealogy, and real estate sites, my 10 e-mail addresses have been targeted. Needless to say, this is a time to be extra careful about updating virus protection and opening attachments.
