It was in use from about the last 1861 through 1864, I believe. My 2nd great grandfather John Lord Brown enlisted in Co. H, 5th Reserve Regt, these were the older men. In 1863, they had an outbreak of meazles in the camp. He died as a result of the meazles and is buried there. I am trying to locate where his grave is. There must be an "old timer" there in the county that should know its locaction. Have gone to the SC Historical Society and they do not have any information. All four of my greatgrandfathers, plus brothers and him served in the CW. The four came home, but two brothers and he did not. Thank goodness, the 4 did or I would not be here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Chris P. L. Christian Jr. Mekongriver38744@aol.com
