Anyone have information on this DURHAM family? I did not see him listed in the 1810 S.C. index. Where did he go? My Seth DURHAM says he was born in S.C. in 1799; he was married abt 1820 and listed in the Bulloch Co, GA census (just down the coastline). There are no other DURHAMS near him in GA, and the nearest family I can find in S.C. is this Joseph in Colleton in 1800. Will gladly share research. Any help will be appreciated.
My great grandparents Joseph Jackson b1815 and wife Rachel Unknown b abt 1815. They married about 1831 probably in St. Bartholomew Parrish, Colleton Co. They had a son named Thompson. It dawned on me today Rachel might well have been Rachel Thompson. They were on the 1850 Colleton Co Census. If any of you have Thompson surnames and could help me or if you have census info available that might check on this for me. Marriage data would also be wondeful too. I wish that I could be direct help to you, but do know of the CANNADY family sometimes spelled Kennedy in early records of Richmond County, VA. I was interested in them as I am trying to find the parents of my JANE BLUFORD and though' she married JAMES SPENCE in Augusta County, VA, I see the Blufords in Richmond County, VA. I think the immigrant was George Cannady who married Mary Bluford and raised their family in Richmond. My prime interest in Colleton County concerns my Middleton-Jones family but have little luck.
