While I already have a relatively large data base, I lack many lines of the family, and I would dearly like to have information on all the descendants of a male Westbury, who married Ann Cuming and whose descendants rapidly spread out through the then Colleton, now Dorchester Co. area, particularly around Grover, into the now Colleton and Orangeburg Counties, and even further. I believe he "may" be the father of my great-great grandfather Wesley D. Carter. Wesley (b. 1804 in SC), named his eldest son Lemuel (b. 1834 in AL) Family migrated from SC through GA, and arrived in AL by 1834. Wesley married Rachel (last name unknown.) I am trying to find information on my 4th great grandfather CHARLES STARKEY MIDDLETON who was born in c1745 in Colleton Co SC and died 15 Oct 1791 in Orangeburg Dist of SC. His parents were WILLIAM MIDDLETON and ESTHER JONES. It is said his first marriage was to a MARGARET____ his second to MARY THOMSON (1757-1779) and the third to SARAH PLATT (1770-). Lucretia HARRIS), Elizabeth (md. Elisha NELSON), Hannah (md. Wm. MELTON), Susannah (md. Isaac REED), but his 2nd wife Mary was named in his will according to their marriage agreement. Daniel ROGERS, Sr., died July 21, 1809 in Edgefield Dist., SC, and was living there in the Saluda/Chappells area sometime aft. 1768. There was a Col. FORD who lived near Daniel ROGERS, Sr., in Colleton Co., SC, and he had papers containing the records of Daniel's birth as well as other ROGERS family records. It is not known what happened to these records. Parents of Daniel ROGERS, Sr. are not known nor the place of his birth. Lavinia Caroline Patrick b: Jun 3, 1834 Orangeburg, Orangeburg Co., married Henry Middleton Sweat b: Jan 20, 1829 Dorchester Co., SC. His parents are Barnett Sweat and Ann Middleton of Colleton County. I have not researched the Patricks. Several of my families seem to connect across these three counties. Perhaps your Patrick family does also.
