Trying to locate the family of origin of our Sallie POSTON who was married to John L. HUGGINS of Chesterfield County, SC. Sallie was mother to my maternal great-grandfather, William Jabius HUGGINS, as well as Dock(ery) Gilbert HUGGINS and Book(a) HUGGINS. Sallie POSTON was born ca. 1830-1835 and died sometime after the birth of her last child in 1871. Have as yet been unable to identify her siblings and parents. Would be interested in exchanging ideas or information with other POSTON researchers looking in Chesterfield County, SC. Cindy Gallagher
I don't have any Huggins in my family, but there are many in Darlington. Also, Darlington was one of the first counties,so check their records. Have a good genealogy society, check web. I grew up with some Huggins,so when I go up in a few weeks I'll call and see if their interested in research. Let me hear from you and I'll let you know.
