Surnames: SHELBY, KNOX, WEEKS & JACKSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mcB.2ACE/182 Message Board Post: Searching for my SHELBY ancesters which I have found recently from the Chesterfield County (South Carolina) area in the US Census of 1800 & 1810. I also found them in the 1790 US Census of South Carolina, Cheraws District (St.Thomas). I am trying to make a connection to Rees Shelby and his family. I believe one of his sons may be the father of my great, great, grandfather Abraham (buried at Old Well cemetary, Hickman County Tennessee). Rees sons: Evan, Jacob, Jonathon, David, Isaac, Rees Jr. and Thomas. Also shows a dauther named Mary. I think my grt, grt, grt grandfather may be Thomas to whom was married to a Hannah Polk also of Chesterfield County during the eary 1800's. Can anyone help me make this tie?
