Born in Society Hill, NC, he was a son of the late John Wilson and Julia Rezell Keith Tucker. He owned and operated the Pit Stop Food Store for 13 years. Mr. Tucker loved to hunt and fish. Survivors include his wife, Lois Johnson Tucker of Society Hill, SC; his sons, James W. Tucker, Jr. and his wife, Faye, of Charlotte, Michael W. Tucker, Sr. and his wife, Vicki, of Society Hill, SC; grandchildren James (Wil) Wilson Tucker, III, `Wilbur` of Charlotte, Katherine Lynn `Bumpkin` Tucker of Society Hill, SC, Michael Wayne `Bud` Tucker, Jr. of Society Hill, SC, and Jessica Winslow `Goldie Locks` Tucker of Charlotte; brothers Henry `Buddy` Tucker of Bennettsville, SC, Randy Tucker and `Frankie` Tucker, both of Society Hill; sisters Gladys Stephens of Charlotte, Atlas Loflin, Lois Poston, both of Cheraw, SC, Lola James of Hartsville, SC, and Carolyn Stokes of Society Hill, SC.
