He died on July 20, 1873 in Nebo, Paulding Co., GA. He married Sara Elizabeth Little born in 1801 Anson Co., NC about 1818. She died February 7, 1869 in Nebo, Paulding Co., GA.. Their children were: Emmanuel b August 8, 1819, Allen T. b 1824, Isaac b 1826, William W. b 1828, James T. b 1832, Nancy M. b 1833, George Washington, Jr. b March 14, 1836 , Josiah Nathan b January 1837, Sara Ann E. b 1839 , Polly Ann b 1843, Martin Van Buren b May 11, 1843 (my gggrandfather), John E. birth unknown, and Malinda birth unknown, George W. parents were Emmanuel Teal, Jr. b 1758 in Pitt Co., NC d January 10, 1833 in Henry Co., GA and Patsy Martha McHenry b 1784 in NC d before 1859 married September 3, 1818 in Anson Co., NC. They had 4 children that I know of: Joshua, the above George Washington, William and Mary Northan. Emannuel Teal, Jr.s/o Emmanuel Teal, Sr. b 1713 Baltimore Co., MD d after 1790 in Pitt Co., NC and Catherine Johnson on December 24, 1734. They had: Hannah ? b unknown, Caroline b March 13, 1736, Edward b March 24, 1737, Belinda b 1740; Rachel b 1742, George b 1743, John b 1746, Lloyd b 1750, Belinda b 1754, Charles b 1756, and Emmanuel Jr. born 1758. (NOTE: I realize I have listed 2 Belindas. I have had families that have lost a child at a young age and later had another child of the same sex and named it the same name.) Emmanuel Teal, Sr. s/o Edward Teal, Jr. b about 1680 in Baltimore Co., MD, d January 14, 1720. Married Hannah Randall b 1680 d 1720 in November 1711 in Baltimore Co., MD. They had Ruth b between 1711 & 1712 and Emmanuel. Edward Teal, Jr. s/o Edward Teal, Sr. d December 1693 Baltimore Co., MD married Sarah Copus. They had 4 children that I know of: Alice b about 1678, Edward b about 1680, John b about 1681, and William.b about 1683. I have alittle more info that I can share if anyone is interested. I also have picture of Martin Van Buren Teal with his children their spouses and grandchildren on the home place in DeQueen, AR. Some of this info is subject to correction. I would love to hear from anyone who is connected to any of these branches.
