Hi Charlie, I have Mary Jane Davis married to William David Therrell. I got this from "Therrell Family Memories" by Allen Vaughan, grandson of Mary Jane Davis Therrell. I originally had John Wesley Therrell's wife's name as Mary Jane Hubbard. Someone corrected the spelling to Huberd, but I would have to look through my paper records to remember who. Thanks for the interest. If you have any info on Therrells I would appreciate it. Bill Therrell

Researchers of my THERRELL line have hit a brick wall with David THERRELL. Perhaps information on his parents or siblings exists in home records of a descendant's family. I would appreciate any clues the following information may bring to mind. I have just about exhausted all resources here in Alabama. David THERRELL b.4-12-1805 in Chesterfield County, S.C., d.2-4-1884 in Chesterfield Co. m. Margaret JOHNSON b. abt.1825 in Chesterfield County, S.C., d.1855 in Connelly Springs, Burke, N.C. Children: James Hamilton THERRELL b.10-29-1840 in Chesterfield County, S.C., d.5-7-1911 in Heath Springs, Lancaster, S.C. m.(1) Catherine MARTIN b. abt 1846 in?, d. 1889 probably in Monroe,Union,N.C. m.(2) Olivia Aurelia PERRY b. 7-7-1857, d.7-31-1943 in Heath Springs,S.C. Henry THERRELL b.1844 in Chesterfield County, S.C., d. 6-19-1864 near Petersburg, Va. Louis THERRELL b. 1845 in Chesterfield County, S.C., d. 5-16-1864 near Spottsylvania Court House, Va. Rebecca THERRELL b. 5-20-1848 in Connelly Springs, Burke, N.C., d. 6-14-1923 in Chesterfield County, S.C. m. Warren Thomas WILKERSON b.abt 1840, d. before 1923. William David THERRELL b.12-14-1848 in Connelly Springs, Burke, N.C., d. 5-6-1932 in Chesterfield County, S.C. m. Mary Jane DAVIS b. 10-15-1857, d. 6-2-1944 in Chesterfield County, S.C. John Wesley THERRELL b.5-24-1852 in Connelly Springs, Burke, N.C., m. Mary Jane HUBERD b.6-17-1860. David Curtis THERRELL b.2-19-1855 in Connelly Springs,Burke,N.C., d. 3-10-1933 in Chesterfield County,S.C. m. Laura Mauldin b. 8-8-1881 d. 6-1-1943. In addition, David may have been related to Curtis, Mary and Abigail Therrell. Sisters Mary and Abigail THERRELL married brothers Christopher and J.L.Percy BOAN. Their grandson, James Presley BOAN married Rebecca THERRELL WILKERSON's daughter, Rosa J. Wilkerson. It was James Presley BOAN who supplied the information for Rebecca THERRELL's death certificate identifying her parents as "David THERRELL and Mrs. JOHNSON". Curtis THERRELL appears in the 1840 and 1850 censi of Chesterfield County,S.C. In the 1820 census, the household of Lucretia THERRELL includes children of the correct ages to be David, Curtis, Mary and Abigail THERRELL I hope this is not too confusing and may trigger some connection. Many thanks, Bill Therrell

Dale, If you know the death dates and they died in Chesterfield County in recent years you should be able to find their obituaries in the local newspaper of Cheraw. You might also want to check Obituary Daily Times, a rootsweb site at HTTP://WWW.ROOTSWEB.COM/~Obituary/ The data base is free, just type in the sur-name and look for who you are searching for. If they are listed it will give you the name of the newspaper which will probably be The State or The Charlotte Times. Hope this helps. James R. Rasco
