Bobby was my mother's 1st cousin. Aunt Meb was my grandmother's sister. I so glad to finally run across some one who's doing research on this family too. My grandmother's name was ILee Elizabeth Epps. Her and Aunt Meb's Mother was Olivia Elizabeth Truett, their father was Arminius Lee Epps from Kingstree or Kingstreet SC. Their place was called CedarSwamp (I think). Arminius is buried there on the property. The last time I was there was in l962 or 3 and it was so overgrown we could'nt even get to the house which was still standing. I have reached a dead end with Arminius' Mother - Mary Nesbitt Thompson of Ga. My mother's name was Mamie Elizabeth Kinsey Willis, she died May 1st 1996 in Clinton, Maryland. I live in Churchton Md. with my husband John. Answer soon, anxious to hear from you.

To Whomever This May Concern- Sorry that I am just now getting to this reply. My Windows XP would not allow me to open my Family Tree Maker searchable CDs and I just now got it all straightened out. A search of Disk 2 Social Security Death Index 1937-1999 Surnames L-Z for Betty Lou Ann Parker pulled up hundreds of Betty Parkers, but only one Betty Lou Parker. She was the first of four children born to the late Jake and LeAnna Bridges on October 28, 1922 in Cheraw, South Carolina. Francena accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, while attending John Wesley United Methodist Church in Cheraw, South Carolina. She was educated in the Public Schools of Cheraw and a graduate of Robert Smalls High School. After graduation she moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 1942. There, she met Kenneth Gordon, and they were united in Holy Matrimony on August 28, 1944. Francena joined the Bridge Street A.M.E. Church family in 1944, under the pastorship of the late Reverend Rosco C. Henderson. She was a faithful and devoted church member of Class #42 and contributed her culinary talents to the Women's Day Committee. She shared her special gifts and talents as a lifetime member of the National Council of Negro Women, Flatbush Chapter. Francena was a great advocate for children and took great pride in her work with children enrolled in New York City Public School System until retirement. She gave back unselfishly to the community and worked with the Ebbetts Field Senior Citizen Programs. Francena's giving and caring spirit made a difference in the lives of people who were fortunate enough to know her. Throughout her life, Francena always had an open door, room at her table, and a steady, helping hand for her family and the many friends who became family. We have all been inspired by her spirit of life, culinary talents and gift of giving. Her brother, the late Legrand Bridges, preceded her in death on June 28, 1995. Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband, Kenneth Gordon; two attentive sisters, Dorothy Simmons and Miriam Ford, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters-in-law, Wilma Robinson of Queens, N.Y., Osteen Gamble of Florence, S.C., and Lorraine Bridges of Cheraw, S.C.; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Ford of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Wesley Gamble of Florence, S.C.; three goddaughters, Geraldine Young of Cheraw, S.C., Beverly Gamble and Stephanie Cooper, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Internment was in the Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Pinelawn, Long Island, New York. A Tribute and dedication by Gillian and Gerrie Young.
Sorry I don't know the names but they are in the right location and I'd suspect are related. I haven't found anyone in MS or LA yet but reasonable to expect to since they are in NC, SC, GA, AL, AR and TX. I collect every bit of Teal or McRae data anyone is willing to share. A name that I don't recognize today may be quite significant tomorrow. Will be happy to compare other names if you're interested. donna ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rhonda Mills Pittman" <drap777@yahoo.com> To: <SCCHESTERFIELD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2002 8:39 PM Subject: Re: [SCCHESTERFIELD] Re: Teal/Teel Family > I have an Isabella Mcrae born around 1780 and > married Burell Pittman.
