    3. I dont know these people but I am researching some Pittmans (1790-1820) in the Chesterfield, Darlington area. Philip Pitman and Pheraba's land as in the vicinity where Chesterfield, Darlington and Kershaw County meet. His land was close to David Kelley's land.He sold some of this land to Abijah Shoemaker and I remember another deed with something about John Webb. Philip Pitman was born about 1754 ( I suspect in North Carolina)and he must have moved away before 1820 or so to Montgomery County, Alabama where he died soon after. His descendants, Burrell Pittman, and Elizabeth Williams (wife of Joseph Williams) ended up in Greene and Wayne County Mississippi. Another son, DAVID Robert William Pittman,(DRW Pittman)ended up in Jasper County, Mississippi. Another son, James Pittman, is not traced. There may have been other children not mentioned in his will. Burrell Pittman married Isabella McRAE. The name Farquhar (sp?) is associated with this family. They were from Scotland and were said to live in Anson County, NC but I suspect they held land on the Chesterfield county line. Anyway, I would love to correspond with anyone who has early Pittmans in Chesterfield, Darlington or Kershaw county. Thanks! --- karolkaystuart@yahoo.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to > this mailing list. > > Surnames: Campbell, McQuage, Pittman > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mcB.2ACE/184 > > Message Board Post: > > I am looking for any data on sisters Nancy & Katie > Campbell, the family information that I have is that > they came from Scotland, Nancy married Kenneth > Pittman, Katie married Farqueher McQuage. Rees sons: Evan, Jacob, Jonathon, David, Isaac, Rees Jr. and Thomas. Also shows a dauther named Mary. I think my grt, grt, grt grandfather may be Thomas to whom was married to a Hannah Polk also of Chesterfield County during the eary 1800's. Can anyone help me make this tie? 1. Re: [SCCHESTERFIELD] Calling all Wattses in Chesterfield County
    2. My Watts family is probably connected in some way to the thomas Watts that lived in Monygomery Co NC around 1830 near the Pee Dee river. Also living nesr by was Moses Watts (my line ) amd Sampson Watts. Moses disapeared after 1850 but Sampson and his family show up in Alabamba on 1860 census.. Enoch Watts is a common name in my family and there was also an Enoch Watts on the 2850/1860 Rowan Co NC census. They all give their children similar names and am sure there is some connection , but hav'nt made it yet.
