I believe my g-g-g-g-grandfather was John Downing married to Mary Pagan. I am trying to prove the connection so that I can get my grandson into the Sons of the American Revolution. I can only prove a connection to Samuel Downing who lived in Darke Co Ohio, Randolph Co, Indiana and Ionia Co Michigan. I believe his father was John Downing (Wife Margaret Faris), whose father was John Downing (Wife Mary Pagan). I would love to hear from anyone who has details that will help me in my search for the truth.
