John and Mary (Pagan) Downing came to Chester Co. in the late 1700's from Pennsylvania. John and Mary are buried at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church Cem. John died in 1802 and Mary in 1832. John is being honored on Sept 11, 2004 at the Fishing Creek Cem. with a dedication for his military service in the Revolutionary War. There son John Downing born 7 Dec 1776 married Margaret Faris in Chester Co. It is said that Margaret was born in County Antrim, Ireland. I am looking for information on Margaret Faris, parents?, siblings? John and Margaret and their children left Chester Co. in 1812 and settled in Darke Co., OH. Lori Fox
