I'm looking for Browns in Chester, too. My ancestor Mary Amanda (or Amander) Brown was born in Chester in 1819. She married John B. Gladden in Chester Co. in 1839, and one of their sons was James Brown Gladden. There are at least 2 James Browns in the Fairfield/Chester area on the 1850 census. I'm guessing that one is her brother, and that James was also their father's name, but I can't seem to put it together. Other Chester names I'm looking for: Gladden, Stinson, Jackson.
