It is a shame that we cannot use volunteers to help restore these monuments. In the Pacific Northwest they use volunteers to clean the beach, to rebuild trails, to clean up creeks, to plant trees and vegetation and many other things. I am sure if someone would have asked for volunteer roofers to fix the roof when it was an easy fix it would have been fixed. I will send a letter to Gale A. Norton.
